Tri Vananda is a multi-generational community, purposely built to set a gold standard for wellness in Asia, with functional and integrative medicine and nutrition, cognitive health and mindfulness, as well as a zero-waste dining program.

The brand has a multifaceted wellness approach, with a goal to transform 237 acres of former tin mining land into a net-zero emission land bank with botanical gardens and lakes. Tri Vananda is located in the center of Phuket, enveloped by mountains and regrown forests. The Community House grounds the picturesque location in the heart of the Tri Vananda site, surrounded by seven lakes with adjacent dunes. Organic topography inspired the overall concept and a neutral but textured palette, allowing equal focus on the interior and exterior landscape.

Multi-Level Wellness

The Community House is a sprawling two-level leisure destination for Tri Vananda residents in the heart of the development.

The Community House is comprised of two levels. The upper level features the zero-waste, plant-based restaurant Jampa, outdoor deck, sales gallery, and gym. The lower level houses the Tweenie Club, purposely designed for kids aged 8 to 14 to learn and explore through Tri Vananda’s expert-led wellness activities, while enjoying free play indoors and out.

Zero Waste

Jampa is Phuket’s first zero waste plant-based restaurant. Upon arrival, guests are immediately greeted by a horseshoe bar clad in carved wood with a black forest countertop in an antique finish. The back bar has curved and layered screen elements in glass laminated in a sheer fabric to add softness and allow for visibility through to the lounge space beyond. The feature chandelier above is inspired by Thai flower garlands as a symbol of welcome and is done in a mix of brass, bronze, and ceramic accents. There is also a retail shelf adjacent to both sides of the bar for the residents to pick and buy daily fresh produce from Tri Vananda's Community Garden.

Tweenie Club

Down in the Tweenie Club, the seafoam green becomes more predominant, and the wood finishes are a more pure, light maple. A curved wall at the arrival mimics the look and feel of rammed earth but is crafted out of plaster. This curved wall has a shallow perforated pattern with natural organic wood pegs where the children can showcase their artwork.

A sunken lounge area can be enclosed by drapery for privacy and soundproofing when used as a meditation room. The mezzanine area includes a climbing wall, slides with multiple reading nooks, and an inset carpet design whose pattern evokes topographical maps. In front of the mezzanine floats a juice bar counter in terrazzo with exaggerated aggregate sizes, where teachers will demonstrate to children how to make nutritious smoothies.
